This image is one of the 14 new paintings in my solo show, which will also feature 13 hand-painted, antique ukuleles (that are restored and set up by a luthier). Here is a banjo uke that Man Ray used for a sculpture. It's called Optical Illusion, 1946. He made many cool objects - a metronome with an eye attached was one of my favs. He must have liked music. (Photo Credit: from the book "Self Portrait", Man Ray) More about him on Wikipedia . I'm feeling close to him, the dadaists, and the surrealists right now.
