New work in progress by Amy Crehore
(Above: new work in progress by Amy Crehore, oil on linen, unfinished)
Here's a look at my progress of a new painting featuring pink poppies.
I'm not finished, but it's coming along well.
This is a quick ipad photo of the painting on my easel.

Starting something new...
I've been drawing up a composition for a new painting. This one is imaginary, yet it is also
inspired by my location. Like the last one, I have drawn a
building in my own yard, but I am adding figures and other elements that aren't really there.
I have tinted my canvas with a wash of raw umber and vermillion.

Oregon Skies
Oregon Sky #2 1988, oil on canvas, by Amy Crehore 11" x 14"
When I first moved to Oregon from the east coast, I was struck by the ever-changing skies.
I painted a few small skyscapes.
I scanned one of them (shown here) and this is exactly what it looked like:
big ominous rain clouds moving over top of pure blue sky.
