Beautiful polaroids (late studies) by Balthus at Gagosian Gallery
and a new Balthus show at the Met for those lucky enough to be in NYC.
Judith Thurman writes for The New Yorker blog about meeting Balthus in Rome 40 years ago and also posing for his wife (who was also a painter). Interesting! LINK
I love the paintings and drawings of Balthus, as you know if you read this blog.
P.S. Picasso owned a Balthus painting

David Zwirner

Standing next to a gorgeous Neo Rauch (from what I can see of that trademark green) is dealer David Zwirner. I love so many of the artists that his gallery represents: Neo Rauch, Marcel Dzama, Yayoi Kusama, R. Crumb, Alice Neel, Michael Borremans, Lisa Yuskavage, to name a few. There is a new article about him in the New York Times Style Magazine:

It is the 1913 Armory Show's 100th anniversary. You can find the list of artists here .
And, oh, what a list it is! 300 artists introduced NYC to "modern art".
Read about the history of this show here.
See a cool map of layout of building and links explaining the art of 1913 Armory show.

Original Paintings by Amy Crehore

Although many of my original paintings have already sold, I still have some wonderful original works available in my inventory for collectors, such as the ones shown below. These were all previously exhibited in gallery shows in Brooklyn and NYC (Ad Hoc Gallery, Last Rites) or Los Angeles (Corey Helford, Thinkspace, Robert Berman Gallery) or The Shore Institute of Contemporary Art (NJ). All of these are oils on stretched linen or linen panels. Here are some choice pieces that represent some of my best work. Various sizes.
